Jobs in The Philippines

The Philippines is a rapidly industrializing country that is still in the process of shifting its economy from one largely depending on the agriculture sector, to one that is expanding the services and management sectors. The new industrial sector is focused on electronics and factory jobs, producing high tech components such as computer chips with relatively cheap labor under the aegis of foreign and international employing corporations. Many automobile manufacturing companies from countries like Germany, Sweden, Japan and the United States have transferred the locations of their car factories to the Philippines, where they may be built with the minimum possible expense. There is also a mining sector in the Philippines which is a significant source of employment. Many of these mining businesses are also owned by foreign corporations, but they employ vast numbers of native citizens. The company IBM reported in the year 2010 that the Philippines has become the world leader for outsourcing, having surpassed India in that regard. What this means is that jobs from around the world are going to the Philippines because their economy at present allows wages there to be the lowest, representing the lowest possible expense to the multinational corporations that are relocating there.
